2015
Tim Papachristodoulou
I’m 53 years of age. I lost my leg when I was 38 years old due to a blood clot. The only thing that go me through my traumatic experience were my kids. Without my kids, I don’t know what I would have done or how I would have got through.
Another one of my salvations was the gym. I was determined to be fitter and stronger than before. Once I started using the gym, I felt like I was on top of the world. My kids saw my improvements, so they decided to join the gym as well. The positive thing about training with your kids is that they stay with you, and cant get into any trouble.
I joined Derrimut in 2013 at Caroline Springs. When Airport West opened up, I made the move as it is literally 2 minutes away from my home. The atmosphere here is electric. The staff are friendly, helpful and the vibe is kick a@$e. People inside the gym are friendly and helpful, not because of my condition, but they genuinely want to help with a spot or motivate you with a story.
By coming to such an environment makes me feel good, strong and confident. Coming to the gym makes me happy, and when I’m happy, I am content with life. If I don’t go to the gym for a session, I feel miserable.
This is my story, I hope you all have an awesome day, and enjoyed reading my story.
