Tina
Tina first stepped foot in a gym back in 2008 saying she was “Very overweight with no idea what I was doing”. With hard work, a positive attitude, healthy eating and an amazing support network Tina dropped 50kgs. Ever since then, gym and fitness have become a massive part of Tinas’ Life, pursuing her strong passion for helping others and making fitness her chosen career path. As a single mum Tina says “it’s an added bonus being able to keep up with the kids too!”
In April 2015 Tina was diagnosed with Cancer. Her life changed dramatically, and for some everything would have been put on hold, however, she didn’t let that happen!
Tina says “Training clears my mind, helps me stay strong and positive! With 3 operations and Chemo, there were days where I had no energy, even walking was hard. Derrimut opened in Pakenham in April 2015 too. Being close to home with big and clean new equipment it gave me a new spark to keep training. Open 24:7 it allowed me to train whenever I felt well enough too, a place I could disappear to when needed to have some “me” time”
10 weeks from Tinas’ last surgery, she has been given the all clear from her doctors. Back to training and getting stronger every day!
“When something bad happens you have 3 choices, to let it define you, let it destroy you or let it STRENGTHEN you”
